URVR believes that the voices of refugees and displaced persons must be heard at every level of decision-making.
Our advocacy program amplifies community voices, engages duty-bearers, and monitors compliance with national
and international standards for refugee protection.
- Monitoring and reporting on human rights violations affecting refugees in Uganda
- Submission of advocacy reports and protection dossiers to UNHCR, OPM, and relevant bodies
- Engagement with Isingiro District local government on refugee rights and policies
- Partnerships with national and international NGOs, human rights organizations, and donor agencies
- Publication of case documentation and community testimonies to inform policy
- Awareness campaigns on mechanisms of transitional justice and preservation of peace
- Advocacy for environmental protection and climate resilience in displacement contexts
